Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our school!

Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School is situated in Borrowash on the border of Derby City and Derbyshire. We welcome children into our Acorns Class for Nursery in the term after they turn three. In the main school, we have four classes: Hazel Tree are our Reception class, Elm Tree are our Reception and Year 1 class, Willow Tree are Year 1 and 2 class and Oak Tree are our Year 2 class. At the end of Year 2, our children move on to Ashbrook Junior School which is on the same site as our Infant and Nursery School.

Our school is a happy, fun place, full of friendly people who work really hard to make sure that every child learns new things and makes good progress. We are fully accessible and inclusive and firmly believe that our school is a place where we can all, care, learn and have fun together.

Through our wider curriculum, we aim to ensure that children are fully prepared for life in modern Britain, and that they establish the building blocks for their future learning.  We work hard to ensure that our children learn how to get on with one another, how to listen and how to share their thoughts and ideas with others.

Learning is shared with parents through access to Class Dojo once your child is in school.

We offer a range of clubs to support children's wider learning. These vary but include: Football, Gymnastics, Ninja Warrior, Multi-Sports, Archery, Drumming, Recorder Club.

We are always happy to show people round our school - please get in touch if you would like to have a look round.

School hours are from 8.50am until 3.20pm. Ashbrook Tigers provide our breakfast club from 7.30am, after-school club until 6pm and holiday clubs from 7.30am until 6pm. They are based on site in school. Please ask at the school office for more information.
