SEND
SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) at Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School
If you have a child with Special Educational Needs or a Disability and you feel you need more support or information about their education or development then we are here to help. If you are worried that your child may need additional support for their academic progress, their behaviour or has a physical or sensory disability, then please come and speak to the staff in school so that we can offer assistance to you and your family.
Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School is supported by the Local Authority to ensure that we meet the needs of all pupils with SEND, and that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs make the best possible progress in school.
Who can Help?
If your child is already with us, please talk to the class teacher in the first instance. They can refer you to the SENDCo if additional support is required.
If your child is not yet in school with us, please telephone the school to arrange an appointment with the SENDCo.
The SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator) at the school is Mrs Roebuck, Headteacher.
We aim to be an inclusive school, with the needs of pupils with SEND met through provision in our mainstream setting. Our wish is that all pupils become confident, caring, happy learners, who achieve their best and are well prepared for the transition to Junior School at the end of Key Stage One.
